Nick Strine
I'm Nick Strine, a design leader in Sydney. I lead design at Studiosity, across the platform and the website. Before that I spent twenty years where product meets brand: an agency I co-founded, advertising at Ogilvy, immersive VR, and AAA games at Wargaming and Ubisoft. I write here about the work I'm doing now.

Clear communication 9 / 9
Owns copy and messaging approval at Studiosity; NZGDC 2022 panel; UTS and Monash lectures

Plan: One flagship at a time; open decisions logged with an owner and a date
Integrity and self-awareness 8 / 9
Concedes clearly when wrong; asked for an evaluation that shows gaps
Strategic thinking 9 / 8
Phase-based design process; one brand across surfaces
Learning agility 9 / 8
From print agency to AAA games to building with AI tools
Influence and collaboration 9 / 8
Executive budget at Ubisoft; persuaded Studiosity leadership on one brand
Developing others 8 / 8
One-to-ones, onboarding plans, design reviews, guest lecturing
Quality and rigour 8 / 7
Strict verification of tools and agents; less consistent on own first claims
Craft and domain mastery 9 / 7
Shipped across PC, console, VR, mobile and web
Sustainable pace 6 / 7
Protects the team's pace; own crunch not always flagged
Plan: Name the cost when choosing to crunch
- Scores move only on new, checkable evidence.
- Nick chose what to share, so Claude could only judge what it saw. It can't see how he works in a room.
